atheists and communists

welcome to the Second Cold War, in which Russia teams up with Iran to take on the West. My prediction for the resulting Third World War: the US hits Iran because of their failure to comply with international sanctions and unending threats to destroy United Stages ally Israel, then Iranian ally Russia hits the US. I mentioned this to an Atheist last night, and he seemed doubtful, as though such a theory were not plausible. Is it only I who sees the correlation between the spirit of Communism as the same Anti-Christ spirit shared by radical Islamic Fascists and Atheists? I am often met with similar resistance when speaking to liberal pro-Hillary Clinton leftists, as she embodies the spirit of Communism in her own thwarted ideologies and proposed Democratic regime. You're probably wondering what I'm doing running around talking to Atheists, as I am often noticeably disturbed by the massive avalanche of anti-God rhetoric and misperception bombarding my bubble on a daily basis.

Earlier this week I met this Atheist man, a doctor who had traveled to San Diego from Perth Australia, for a medical conference and to visit family who was affected by the local wildfires. Because I am such an approachable and diverse individual, we instantly connected and began to engage in interesting global and cultural topics. I have to admit, I had heard of Perth, but had no idea where it was in Australia - turns out to be on the West Coast, similar to San Diego. After all, when do you ever hear about Australia in the international news - could they be Al-Qaeda's next Western target? Kangaroos, Koalas, Eucalyptus, and the Didgeridoo were the only Australia I knew. When I looked at the map, I noticed the lonely British-colonized island surrounded by water, seemingly separated from the rest of the world. A few other neighboring island civilizations such as New Zealand and Indonesia provide somewhat of a buffer from the Communist countries like China and North Korea (who may also aim at the US). Among our initial topics that night on the dance floor were Capoeira and our mixed nationalities. My quarter-Jewish heritage usually gets the Israel vs Middle East topic started, but his race sparked my political interest even more than captivation by his intriguing physical charm and dance moves. I've always been a sucker for international men, one sentence and I'm hooked.

He tried to make me guess his ethnicity, and when I couldn't quite pinpoint it, he told me he was half-Persian - Persia is the Biblical name for present day IRAN - as most of the Arab race does not prefer to identify with the Iranian regime and its petty and cruel dictator Ahmedinijad. While fascinated by the fact that I am studying Arabic, he claimed to not know any Farsii as he never really knew his Iranian father. His mother is Lithuanian I believe, and he and his twin brother were raised by her and his step-dad. When I examined the world map again, I found Lithuania to be located on the fringe of Communist Russia. I did remember this location as once I was attempting to buy a Global phone, and they wanted to give me an Estonian number which of course prompted me to find out more about that region. Upon further research I discovered that Lithuania was in fact a Communist country up until 1990 when it gained independence. It was the first Soviet republic to break away from the Communist regime, though Soviet forces unsuccessfully tried to suppress their secession. Lithuania did not join the European Union until 2004. Anyway this man grew up in Britain for the most part, his parents went to Italy, and he moved to Australia to start a family and a career, where he became an Atheist.

I could not dismiss what I had learned about his heritage during our intense interaction (which lasted throughout this past week), as he always referred to himself as Australian, having lived there 12 years. I have lived in San Diego 13 years, but I am of mixed European descent and Jewish heritage on my dad's side, and having lived in Israel this past year I have come to understand the importance of this... where you lay your head may not be your HOME. The most interesting part for me, being a Christian by faith, was interacting with a self-professing Atheist in addition to the ethnic dilemma of our underlying Jew vs Arab roots. The second day I knew him we connected on so many levels, intellectual, cultural, physical (we trained Capoeira together and discussed fitness), historical, and spiritual. An immeasurably intense conversation regarding Creation vs evolution with his Atheist scientist mind and biology PhD up against me, a Christian-schooled American Communication scholar with first-hand Middle East cultural experience, heavy on the political-cultural analysis. I had never experienced another person quite on this level, and the more time we spent together the intensity grew - to the point of becoming heavier on me as the week progressed.

Ultimately our engagement was diverted by outside influences and geographic factors, but I have proceeded to assess this relationship for what it really was - not the mere physical attraction that drew us together initially. It all comes back to core beliefs and your own DNA, the undeniable life blood inside every human being created by none other than the Lord God Almighty. Coded into our divinely-constructed biological beings is the Free Will to make decisions for our own lives, whom we choose to spend time with and what path we will chose, whether marriage, children, career, etc. I believe God allowed me to go through this scenario (all facets of it) taking place while OUR little world (San Diego) was on fire - to bring me back to the reality of the inherent evil forces present throughout the world we live in. Atheists and Communists, Muslims and Liberals, all resisting the One True God, with the same HEAVY Anti-Christ spirit. Intense energy and supernatural fire was ablaze in the air this week affecting many people's lives, with the intense Scorpio full moon in the sky to set the Cold War mood.

world on fire II

In a previous blog entry entitled world on fire, I discussed the fires which ravaged through southern Greece just after I had visited the country. Upon my arrival into the US I returned to San Diego, only to witness a similar national disaster here in America's Finest City - devastation on the level of Hurricane Katrina. For about the past 5 days, San Diego County has been ablaze, with more than 8 different fires burning in the region, destroying a number of homes and acres of property. I was supposed to be in New York last weekend and early this week, but a few friends talked me out of going... had I gone, I may have missed out on some of the action here! As I am just staying in San Diego temporarily, while I finished my research and to catch up with friends here, I'm glad I was here to witness this historic event.

During the San Diego Wildfires of 2003, approximately 50,000 people were evacuated, but this time the fires ravaged more of the county and more than 500,000 people were evacuated. In a previous blog entry entitled the left coast, I mentioned some of the inherent perils for a Godless society like what I've been subjected to here in San Diego. While I indeed have compassion for my friends (whatever lifestyle they choose) and even those people who I don't know personally that have lost their homes, I see an undeniable parallel between a society filled with sin and debauchery and the resulting wrath of God. My friend Lyle posted a blog likening this catastrophic event to an Old Testament style wake-up call. I forwarded his post and took all kinds of crap from people who I thought were my friends. However the inherent pitfalls of a liberal society lend to a masking of morality to the point which when mentioned drive people to criticism of sound judgement and Godly values.

A few weeks ago, San Diego's Republican Mayor Jerry Sanders reversed the laws against homosexuality and gay marriage, because he found out his daughter was a lesbian. About a week later, California's Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger passed a ruling to take the words Mom and Dad out of school curriculums in order to be more compassionate towards gay couples raising children. A local Christian University which I formerly taught at also practices acts of acceptance of gay "Christians" into their university, though the Bible strictly warns against it (yes I no longer work there due to conflicting realities). I am curious at what point such right-wingers have become so liberal, it seems to be a result of our ever-evolving societal self-destruction. So with my own conservative Christian ideology I vocalized the premise that the San Diego Wildfires (and in other parts of Southern California) erupting just a few days after Governor Schwartzenegger's ruling were a direct result of the region's embrace of homosexuality as the norm. In times of tragedy, people cry out to God - "where is God in all of this?" or "why would God allow such a disaster to occur?" If your city is burning down, you have to look at the big picture, just as in Greece. Blame it on the Santa Ana winds, God is an awesome God, and he wants the people's hearts to turn back to Him, Creator of the Universe.

love and war

There are a lot of people in the world who would LIKE to be married, like myself for example. However when you have a full-time job this status can be challenging, especially when your job is to run a country. Just announced yesterday in the media, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is divorcing his wife Cecilia, a mutual split undoubtedly due to his changing persona. A few months before the French elections, I told my mom I believed Sarkozy would become the Anti-Christ, due in part to his political fervor, rapid rise to power, and Jewish roots. She informed me that based on her study of end-times Biblical prophecy, that the Anti-Christ is not married, so that would rule out my theory completely. Yet about 9 months later the script has flipped, and the international scene is unfolding to reveal the major players in the Global Game of Love and War. Nic's rise to power has not ceased, and he continues to purge forward to lead the EU and soon possibly the world, as countries and regions merge closer to a one-world government.

Also up to bat this week (not related to the Diamondbacks being swept out of the MLB playoffs) was a timely visit to Tehran by another hidden player, Vladimir Putin, President (soon to be Prime Minister) of Russia. In order to quell the threats of his assassination, Putin put in his request for Russia to remain a superpower of Cold War proportions, at any cost. Since Russia is the primary supplier of nuclear technology and weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran, their alliance has never really been a secret but is now much more clearly pronounced. The Persian Prince, sweet-talking Ahmedinijad now has Putin programmed to spout out the same nonsensical yet threatening anti-western rhetoric that he himself has endlessly employed throughout his quest for global jihad. Let us analyze their objective - the US must pull out of Iraq soon, so that Iran can take it over and create an extension of their own Shiite Islamic regime, more savage than the present state of the Babylonian capital. Who will rise to power in this region and rule this ravaged landscape - and will the new alliance's nuclear arsenal contribute to the carnage, or bring peace to the world?

Ultimately, we must examine some of the accepted political practices of the West in order to understand why the Anti-Islamic regimes are so opposed to our Democratic paradigm. Regardless of race or religion, everybody loves women... but not women in POWER. Nancy Pelosi's new war in Turkey and Northern Iraq is just one example of a compassionate hand in the honey pot, or too many cooks in the kitchen. Not that Grandmother Nancy can't cook, quite the contrary I'm sure, she would do better if she stayed in her own kitchen, literally in her house and stayed out of the public, let alone in politics (topic for a future blog). Islam's opposition to women in power (or women in public) is best evidenced this week by Al-Qaeda's attack in Pakistan in their attempt to assassinate ex-Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. She was returning to her home in Pakistan but her convoy was attacked reportedly because of her support for the US War on Terror. Hundreds of people were killed, in the radical Islamic "conspiracy against democracy", condemned by President Pervez Musharraf as well as the White House. The US has it coming next, especially if Hillary continues her pursuit of the Presidency, she is already a target. Remember the saying, "all's fair in love and war."

al-Quds day

the other night at a group sushi dinner outing, I met a couple of interesting people. One guy was a Muslim named Jesus, half Lebanese half Mexican. His friend was Jewish, half Syrian, but both were mainly American. The Jewish one understood my Hebrew, and the Muslim Jesus liked my necklace - a cross and a charm bearing the name of God in Arabic, Allah wa Ibn Allah (God and His Son) which I wear as a display of my own faith but also with the hopes of engaging in discussions of religion and Middle East politics. Of course we proceeded to do just that, but as usual, it was a game of "stump the Arabs". I asked Jesus, "so are you celebrating Ramadan?" He gave some lame excuse about his health as to why he couldn't fast, as I thought to myself "what a devout Muslim". I proceeded to inquire into his practices. "You know about al-Quds day on Friday, right?" He was stumped, so I informed him that it was a seemingly more Shiite celebration of the hopeful victory of the Muslims over Jerusalem, al-Quds being the Arab name for the Holy City. He claimed to be a Sunni Muslim and in general did not pay attention to the radicalization of the Islamic faith, the impression I got.

Every year on the last Friday of Ramadan (that's today) al-Quds day is celebrated not as a religious holiday in Islam but a political event, in which Anti-Zionist demonstrations are held, and thus observance is not obligatory in the Muslim faith. However, Muslims believe that Jerusalem belongs to them and not to the Jews, and al-Quds day is celebrated by Muslims not just in Palestine but throughout the world. The parade for liberation of Jerusalem and Palestine originated in Iran after the Iranian Revolution and celebrations erupt in each year in light of the Palestinian struggle. The observance was suggested by Ayatollah Khomeini, then Supreme Leader of Iran, in August of 1979, saying, "I invite Muslims all over the globe to consecrate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Jerusalem Day and to proclaim the international solidarity of Muslims in support of the legitimate rights of the Muslim people of Palestine."

If you are not Muslim, you probably think this blog entry does not relate to you, but let's look a little more closely to reaveal the apparent reality of the Islamofacist threat towards the West. "Death to Israel, Death to Britain, Death to America," are chants heard by the protesters, some of them wearing the black-and-white keffiyeh chequered headscarf of the Palestinians. A common mantra of the Imam is "If each Muslim were to pour out just one bucket of water, there would be a flood to wash away Zionism." This al-Quds day, radical Islamists have threatened to attack Israel and its allies (that would include the US). At a protest in London, Muslims marched through the streets demanding Israel's destruction.

According to an Israel National News report on 30 September, Iran has promised a devastating "final response" to supporters of the Jewish State on October 12, the Islamic Republic's Quds Day. "Supporters of the Zionist regime will receive their response during the world Quds Day's rallies" as suggested by Iranian government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham at a weekly press conference. "The US loses all opportunities to cooperate with regional and other world states by trying to support a regime (the Zionist regime) which is now at its weakest political and social position," Elham said. "Supporters of the Zionist regime will definitely receive the final response for their support on Quds day." This final Friday of the Holy month of Ramadan will serve as a determining time for the Palestinian people - will we witness victory of the Muslims over the infidels in some fashion? Even if they don't cut off the Western supply of oil right away, the solidarity of Muslims world-wide displayed by their anti-Zionist fanfare may lead to devastation in our society. I hope that doesnt mean no more sushi nights with the Arabs.

the left coast

ahh... the unavoidable question: "where are you from?" I'm at the point where I don't know what to say anymore. My natural reaction over this past year has been "America", as most folks I encountered overseas didn't necessarily know where San Diego was. Sometimes I would add "Southern California" but that generally led to some confusion with Hollywood or Disneyland - right climate, wrong vibe - try Mexico border area. Since I've been back in America, its been so good to be back in my home country that I had not thought about this to the degree which would separate myself from fellow Americans. Until the past few weeks... as I've been considering moving back to the East Coast of the US. Truth be told, I was born in New Jersey, moved to Arizona when I was 4, grew up in Tempe, moved to San Diego for college when I was 17, and lived there for 11 years straight. Since then I lived in Phoenix for 2 years, back to San Diego for 2 more years, and to Israel and traveling for about the last year. So it was natural for me to gravitate back to San Diego - one would think.

When you live somewhere for 13 years, it is not your hometown, and you are there without any of your family, you may experience a values shift at some point. I can certainly call San Diego home - I know the city better than any other, have met hundreds of people over the years, and have acclimated to the weather more easily than anywhere else on the planet. I have had decent jobs on-and-off while I've been here, and an amazing cultural experience with all the various social groups and events I've been involved with, as San Diego is a very diverse American city. Yet after traveling around the world I realize that this wonderful place is just a little speck on the planet, the existence of which most of the rest of the world is not necessarily aware of. In addition, the Left Coast mentality does not match my own moral, ethical, and political preferences - and that's where reality sets in.

When you observe or attempt to engage in conversation with citizens of the Left Coast, you may perhaps identify a serious concern which likely emanates from the Hollywood sphere - wrought with Leftists, uneducated yet beautiful - thus such beauty can be deceptive to the glamour-driven society who idolizes them. This phenomenon is one of ignorance, in which their media-induced liberalism has taken over to the point of masking reality or anything which stems from the realm of fact. I hate to say that I cannot even relate to many of my friends anymore, and have been faced with the challenge of trying to find my REAL friends in this mass of perfect bodies. I hang out in the library, beloved corporate Starbucks, the gym, or at the beach and harbor to attempt to transcend this facet of tarnished American society, but maybe I just need another change of scenery as I did with my residence abroad. I've felt a draw to move back to the East Coast for the last several years, ever since visiting New York and New Jersey with my Dad in 2002. While I did not get accepted into my PhD program of choice in that region for this Fall, the Earth's gravitational force is indeed pulling me Eastward. At the very least, I will be visiting New York next weekend with my best friend.

As I move forward, the time has come to leave the Westward (backward) HOs to bask in the year-round sunshine (pro-choice STD fest) with their closed-minded liberal ignorance and party-harder-than your neighbor attitude. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE San Diego, and America's Finest City will always feel like home to me. After all, I "grew up" here, but sadly to say I've outgrown it. Thus as a token of my compassionate nature, I may leave behind for my dear friends a map of the world to include the aforementioned speck-of-the-planet marked with an X, and highlighted area of undeniable geo-seismic activity along none-other-than their beloved Left Coast.

hasten the madhi

Since he took office as Iran’s President in 2005, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad has used his political status as a religious platform for radical Shiite Islam, and a means to express his extremist views. At that time, he predicted the end of the world would happen within 3 years, a phenomenon commonly speculated by Western religions as Armageddon. Interwoven into his anti-Western political rhetoric is extremist Islamic rhetoric regarding the coming of the Madhi, or Messiah, believed by radical Islam to be a sound Muslim ruler who will offer peace to the region. Ahmedinejad believes that he himself has been appointed by Allah to hasten the Madhi’s coming, and that during last year’s UN council meeting he even had a glowing aura about him, which caused the audience to hang on his every word and not even blink for about 20 minutes. He used to end his public speeches with rhetoric promoting Islamic extremism and hastening of the Madhi, but is now beginning his speeches with this banter, as evidenced in his address at Columbia University last week.

Ahmedinejad is known to be controversial even within his own country, and to the average listener, many of his claims do not seem to coincide with reality. Why would a world leader be lying about uranium enrichment and building a nuclear weapon for PEACEFUL purposes? The technology has emerged and is being distributed to the people who can make it happen, within this destructive alliance of Iran and Russia. Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism has been getting numerous weapons from Russia, and even giving them to its neighbor Syria, who passes them along to Hezbollah, one of the most radical Islamic terrorist groups insistent on destroying Israel. There are now so many Russian Jews in Israel, particularly in the Negev, adjacent to the Islamist Enclave of Gaza. It is no coincidence that the Islamic terrorist group Hamas also has plans to destroy Israel. And Al-Qaeda, the very group which declared Islamic Jihad on the US in 2001, has just declared the same upon Pakistan, destroying statues of their god Buddha, a religious philosophy which conflicts with Islam.

Shortly after his visit to the US, Ahmedinejad and the Iranian parliament declared the US Army and the CIA to be terrorist organizations. According to IRAN’s state-run news agency, the Iranian parliament has reported them to have “trained terrorists and supported terrorism, and they themselves are terrorists.” They mention US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as attacks by the US on other countries which took place during WWII, and the US support of Israel. These Iranian claims would allude to a basic knowledge of world history, which Ahmedinejad himself lacks, as he denies that one of the most devastating events in history even took place - the Holocaust. His tendency to mask the truth combined with his frequent denial of such significant historical events yields a growing concern regarding his capabilities in leadership of a country. Hasten the Madhi, the end is near.
